Dr. Jesse V. McClain IV, DNP, APRN, ACNS-BC, MSCN, CCRN, SCRN, WSET-3, FWS, CMC is a distinguished Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and award-winning author based in Youngstown, Ohio with over 19 years of experience in adult neurology, and subspecialties in Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke. Dr. McClain earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and has been involved in numerous clinical trials focusing on neurological care. Beyond his medical career, Dr. McClain is a certified French Wine Scholar and, at the time, became the 253rd Certified Master of Champagne Worldwide. He is also the founder of Vanny’s Vineyards, which focuses on award winning winemaking techniques as well as writing. His passion for viticulture led him to author The Wine Doctor, which was awarded the 2023 Nonfiction-Education Book of the Year. In 2024 he completed and published the French Wine Workbook and he is also set to release The Corked Incident, a fictional murder-mystery involving the worlds of neurology and wine in the fall of 2025. Death in Destin, the sequel to The Corked Incident is scheduled for release sometime in 2026. Dr. McClain’s diverse expertise bridges the worlds of healthcare and wine, offering readers insightful perspectives drawn from his unique professional journey.
